About TrueLayer

At TrueLayer, we build universal APIs that allow companies to access the financial data of their end user and initiate direct bank payments, securely, reliably and efficiently.

Bank connectivity is complex and fragmented - but we were founded in August 2016, on the back of the #OpenBanking initiative, to help open data access across the finance industry.

Since then, we’ve:

  • partnered with innovators like Monzo, ClearScore, and Zopa, helping them connect to 98% of the UK’s banking population;
  • grown the team to almost 50 πŸš€
  • designed and moved into a brand new home 🏠
  • been mentioned in the press a whole lot (mama we made it) πŸ“°
  • started our European expansion.

And we’re just getting started.


What's next:
Our short term mission? To grow the Open Banking economy.

Our long term vision? To power the new era of financial innovation.
